Celebrating Our Authors

Today I had an opportunity to visit a 3rd grade writing celebration.  What an amazing experience for these kiddos!  Upon entering the classroom, students knew it was going to be a fun morning.

To start the session, Ms. Whorton read her persuasive speech to the class to model the expectations.  She had a microphone and "stand" so students could really feel the part.

The the students were able to share their persuasive speeches with the class.

They also celebrated with a snack of animal crackers and juice boxes.

What a fun and engaging way to share their writing!
